Tyreek dismisses surgery: I'll play 'even if I have to cut my wrist off'
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill remains determined to play through a torn ligament in his left wrist, despite concerns that the injury could worsen.
Hill, who was listed as questionable before Monday's game, made it clear that surgery is not a consideration at this time. "I've been talking to a lot of people about this particular injury. ... It's going to get worse, the more I play ... But I'm here, I'm locked in, no matter what. No matter how I feel. Even if I have to cut my wrist off," Hill told Joe Schad of the *Palm Beach Post* on Thursday.
The All-Pro wideout, who led the NFL in receiving yards in 2023, played in Monday's victory over the Los Angeles Rams, catching three passes for 16 yards and a touchdown—his first since the season opener. Hill has been dealing with the injury since training camp.
Although surgery was discussed as an option, Hill has no immediate plans for a procedure. "Surgery was brought up," he added, but he emphasized that it's something he would consider only during the offseason, as reported by Omar Kelly of the *Miami Herald*.
Hill, an eight-time Pro Bowler, practiced on Thursday, as noted by Josh Alper of *Pro Football Talk*. While Hill's production has been down this season, with 37 receptions for 462 yards and two touchdowns through nine games, he remains committed to playing.
The Dolphins, currently at 3-6, will face the 2-7 Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday at home.
