Colts Set to Welcome Back Jonathan Taylor Against Texans
The Indianapolis Colts will see the return of running back Jonathan Taylor in their matchup against the Houston Texans this Sunday.
Taylor has been sidelined since sustaining an ankle injury during the Colts' Week 4 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. After missing three games, he returned to practice this week without any limitations on the final injury report leading up to the game.
This season, Taylor has accumulated 349 rushing yards, with an average of 4.85 yards per carry, and has scored four touchdowns.
In addition to Taylor's return, the Colts may receive further positive updates before their Week 8 game. Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner is listed as questionable due to an ankle issue. Buckner's 21-day practice window opened earlier this week, and he must be activated from injured reserve before he can return to play.
Head coach Shane Steichen noted that both Taylor and Buckner are "tracking very well," according to team reporter JJ Stankevitz.
