Giannis Antetokounmpo Misses Game Against Cavs Due to Right Adductor Strain
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was sidelined for Monday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a right adductor strain. This marks the first game Antetokounmpo has missed this season.
The 29-year-old is currently averaging 31 points per game, ranking second in the league behind Los Angeles Lakers' Anthony Davis. Additionally, Antetokounmpo is contributing 12.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
In Milwaukee's previous game on Saturday, also against the Cavaliers, Antetokounmpo nearly recorded a triple-double, finishing with 34 points, 16 rebounds, and 9 assists. He shot 15-of-27 from the field, but the Bucks lost by a single point.
The Bucks are struggling this season, with a 1-5 record, placing them last in the Eastern Conference standings. The team is also missing veteran Khris Middleton, who has not played this season while recovering from offseason ankle surgeries.
On the other hand, the Cleveland Cavaliers are off to an impressive start, remaining undefeated with a 7-0 record. They are one of only two teams still unbeaten, along with the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are 6-0.
