Stephen Curry to Miss Upcoming Games Due to Ankle Injury
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will be sidelined for at least two games following a diagnosis of a left ankle sprain, as confirmed by the team on Monday.
An MRI revealed no structural damage, and the 36-year-old All-Star is set to be re-evaluated on Friday before the team embarks on a five-game road trip.
The Warriors are scheduled to face the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Curry sustained the injury during Sunday's 112-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, appearing to twist his ankle late in the third quarter. He briefly returned to the game in the fourth but aggravated the injury and left the court for good with 7:55 remaining.
In his 18th season in the NBA, Curry is averaging 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.7 assists. The Warriors currently hold a 2-1 record at the start of the season.
