Bronny James to Share Time Between Lakers and G League After Road Trip
Bronny James is set to divide his time between the Los Angeles Lakers and their G League affiliate following the conclusion of the team's upcoming road trip on November 6, as reported by ESPN's Shams Charania and Dave McMenamin.
Bronny made his professional debut during the Lakers' regular-season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves, entering the game four minutes into the second quarter alongside his father, LeBron James. This marked a historic moment as they became the first father-son duo to compete in an NBA game.
In his brief two-minute appearance, Bronny did not make either of his shot attempts.
Rich Paul, Bronny's agent, previously stated before the draft that he did not wish for his client to sign a two-way contract.
The Lakers selected Bronny as the No. 55 overall pick in this year's draft, signing him to a four-year, $7.9 million contract, which is fully guaranteed with a team option for the final year.
During the Summer League, Bronny expressed his enthusiasm for playing at any level, including the G League. The USC product averaged 8.8 points, shooting 35% from the field, along with 3.5 rebounds and one assist per game over four appearances in Las Vegas.
