The New York have secured forward OG Anunoby on a lucrative five-year contract worth $212.5 million, sources informed ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Anunoby's new deal includes a player option and a trade kicker. The 26-year-old contributed significantly to the Knicks last season, averaging 14.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and a combined 2.7 blocks and steals per game in 23 appearances following his trade from the Toronto Raptors.

During the playoffs, Anunoby played a pivotal role in the Knicks' journey to the second round, averaging 16.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. His performance was hindered by a hamstring injury that forced him to miss several games against the Indiana Pacers.

Anunoby turned down a $19.9 million player option for the -25 season, becoming a free agent. Sources indicated he had received maximum offers from other teams before agreeing to terms with the Knicks within their exclusive negotiating window.

The Knicks' agreement with Anunoby follows their acquisition of Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for five first-round draft picks. Bridges is expected to join Anunoby and All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson in the Knicks' for the 2024-25 season, alongside former Villanova teammates Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo.
