Angel Yin Leads by Two Shots at CME Group Tour Championship
Angel Yin of the United States holds a two-shot advantage heading into the weekend at the CME Group Tour Championship in Florida. Yin shot a three-under-par 69 in her second round, following her strong 65 on Thursday. Her performance extended her lead over South Korea's An Na-rin, who sits in second place.
Yin's steady play has placed her in prime position to win the LPGA's season-ending event at Tiburon Golf Club, where the winner will earn a $4 million (£3.2 million) prize.
An Na-rin, after an even-par 72, struggled with two bogeys and two birdies. She now shares second place with South Korea's Choi Hye-jin, who shot a second consecutive round of 68, bringing her total to eight-under-par.
A group of five players, including American Nelly Korda, are just two shots behind, at six under. Korda, who secured a comeback victory at The Annika Invitational last week, improved significantly with a six-under-par 66 following an even-par opening round.
England's Charley Hull, who posted a six-under-par 66, faces an uphill battle after a one-over-par 73 in the first round. She will need another strong performance in the final two rounds to contend for the title.
