He never stops running - Cagliari boss Claudio Ranieri praises Ibrahim Sulemana after goal against Hellas Verona
Cagliari's manager, Claudio Ranieri, has expressed high praise for young Ghanaian talent, Ibrahim Sulemana, following his standout performance in the Italian Serie A on Monday.
Sulemana, aged 20, made a significant impact by coming off the bench to score a remarkable equalizer for Cagliari in their recent 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona.
Having been sidelined with an ankle injury since February, Sulemana made a triumphant return to the pitch in the closing stages of the match against his former team.
Ranieri commended Sulemana's potential for further growth, citing his consistency, determination, and relentless work ethic.
“Sulemana knows how to give great consistency, he has determination, resistance and never stops running," Ranieri said after the game.
“He hurt his ankle at the best moment, but has recovered, and today it seemed right to give him the final half hour.
“I saw him last year in Verona and he had impressed me, he has enormous room for improvement,” the former Chelsea boss added.
Despite not yet receiving a call-up to the Black Stars national team, Sulemana has made 14 appearances in Serie A this season and sccored twice.
