Maximilian Ibrahimovic Joins AC Milan with First Professional Contract
Maximilian Ibrahimovic, the son of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has signed his first professional contract with AC Milan, the club where his father enjoyed two successful spells. At 17 years old, Maximilian is set to join the Milan youth team for the upcoming season, aiming to follow in his father's illustrious footsteps.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a legendary footballer who announced his retirement last year, played for AC Milan during two periods in his career. He scored 93 goals in 163 appearances for the club and contributed to their Serie A titles in 2011 and 2022. Ibrahimovic's extensive career also included stints at Barcelona, Paris St-Germain, and Manchester United.
Throughout his career, Ibrahimovic scored a total of 511 club goals and won 34 trophies, including 12 league titles. The striker was nominated for the Ballon d'Or 11 times. He remains Sweden's all-time top scorer with 62 international goals in 122 matches. The only major club trophy he did not win was the Champions League, with his sole European title being the Europa League with Manchester United in 2017.
Following his retirement, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now serving as an advisor for AC Milan.
