Dusan Vlahovic scored twice as Juventus secured a 3-0 win against Verona on Monday, marking their second consecutive victory in the Serie A season.

Juventus, who began their campaign with a 3-0 triumph over Como, are the sole team with a perfect record after two matches and currently top the table. The team is aiming for their first Scudetto since the 2019-20 season.

Motta, the new head coach who replaced Massimiliano Allegri after Allegri's departure following a post-Italian Cup final outburst in May, is leading the squad. Last season, Juventus finished third in Serie A, their highest position in four years.

Vlahovic opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark. Defender Nicolo Savona, making his full debut, added Juventus' second goal before halftime with a header from Samuel Mbangula's cross. Mbangula, promoted from the youth ranks, now has one goal and two assists in his first two senior appearances.

Vlahovic secured the win with a penalty eight minutes into the second half. Vlahovic commented to DAZN on Motta's influence, saying, "He is certainly working hard on our aggression and our attitude. We all agree that our attitude is the key to everything. If we have the right mentality, it all works better. We play for each other, but also there are tactical changes that we know about."

Juventus will face their next significant test when they host Roma on Sunday.

Earlier, Como earned their first Serie A point since 2003 with a 1-1 draw at Cagliari. Former AC Milan forward Patrick Cutrone scored an equaliser in the second half. Como coach expressed his satisfaction with the draw, stating, "I am happy, because this is a difficult place to play, but at the same time we need to improve and as soon as possible get used to the Serie A tempo."
