Napoli Earns First Victory with Conte, Led by Kvaratskhelia's Key Goal

Kvaratskhelia, who became a father earlier in the week, scored Napoli's second goal with 15 minutes remaining. His deflected strike secured the three points for Napoli and helped them bounce back from last weekend's defeat against Verona.

The Georgian forward also made a significant impact just before halftime. In stoppage time, Kvaratskhelia delivered a precise pass over the Bologna defense, setting up Giovanni Di Lorenzo to score the opening goal.

"I think you saw it on the pitch, the energy, and I did everything for the team," Kvaratskhelia told DAZN. "This week was so important for me, I'm so happy that I also came here and won with the team. I'm so happy."

Napoli's captain, Di Lorenzo, who faced criticism after Italy's early exit from Euro 2024, found the back of the net and played a crucial role in securing the victory. His goal was a significant moment for both the team and the fans.

"These fans show me a lot of love and I try to pay that back every time I step out onto the pitch," Di Lorenzo said.

Giovanni Simeone, who came on as a substitute, added Napoli's third goal in added time, converting a low cross from new signing David Neres. This goal sealed the win and made it a successful home debut for Conte as Napoli's manager.
