Man City to Sell Defender Couto to Dortmund

Manchester City have confirmed an agreement to sell Brazilian right-back Yan Couto to Borussia Dortmund. The deal includes an initial loan to the Champions League finalists, with a subsequent obligation to buy for 30 million euros (£25.3 million).

Couto joined Manchester City as a 19-year-old in 2020 but has yet to make an appearance for the first team. Following his signing, he was loaned to Girona, a team within the City Football Group, for one year. He then spent two additional seasons with Girona after a brief stint at Portuguese club Braga.

During his time with Girona, Couto played a key role in helping the team qualify for this season's Champions League.
