West Ham United ‘In Talks’ to Sign Star German EURO 2024 Forward
West Ham United are in discussions with Borussia Dortmund regarding the potential signing of Germany striker Niclas Fullkrug. The 31-year-old forward played a crucial role in Germany's Euro 2024 campaign, scoring twice as the host nation reached the quarter-finals.
Hammers manager Julen Lopetegui is looking to bolster his squad's attacking options and has identified Fullkrug as one of the targets. West Ham is actively pursuing additional firepower and is negotiating for multiple players, including Aston Villa's Colombian forward Jhon Duran.
Last season, Fullkrug netted 16 goals in 46 appearances for Dortmund after transferring from Werder Bremen for £12.6 million. He also contributed to Dortmund's journey to the Champions League final, where the team ultimately lost to Real Madrid.
In addition to Fullkrug, West Ham is reportedly interested in acquiring full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United. The Hammers have already made significant moves in the transfer market this summer, securing Wolves captain Max Kilman for £40 million, along with goalkeeper Wes Foderingham and Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme.
