Liverpool Reject Marseille's £11.8m Bid for Wataru Endo
Liverpool have turned down an £11.8 million offer from Marseille for midfielder Wataru Endo. The 31-year-old Japan international, who joined Liverpool from Stuttgart for approximately £16.2 million last August, has been a key figure in the team, making 43 appearances including 20 starts in the Premier League, and winning the League Cup in his debut season at Anfield.
Marseille, managed by Roberto de Zerbi—who faced Endo when he was in charge of Brighton last season—expressed interest in the midfielder. Liverpool is also aware of additional interest from other German clubs in Endo.
The Reds have yet to make any new signings this summer following the appointment of manager Arne Slot.
