West Ham Agrees Deal with Bayern for Mazraoui Transfer
West Ham United have agreed to terms with Bayern Munich for the transfer of Moroccan full-back Noussair Mazraoui. Reports indicate that if the deal is finalized, West Ham will pay an initial €16 million (£13.47 million) for the 26-year-old, with the possibility of an additional €3.5 million (£2.95 million) in performance-related add-ons.
Negotiations over Mazraoui's personal terms are ongoing. The defender has attracted interest from various clubs this summer, including Manchester United. Mazraoui, who was born in the Netherlands, began his career at Ajax before joining Bayern Munich on a free transfer in 2022. He featured in 29 matches across all competitions for Bayern last season.
In other transfer news, West Ham are also engaged in discussions with Aston Villa regarding striker Jhon Duran. Villa are willing to allow Duran, who was acquired from Chicago Fire for approximately £18 million in January 2023, to depart. Duran has made only three Premier League starts and has expressed a desire to explore other opportunities.
