Chelsea Secure Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester in £30m Deal
Chelsea have officially completed the signing of Leicester midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, the Premier League club confirmed on Tuesday, in a deal valued at £30 million ($38 million, 35 million euros).
The 25-year-old has committed to a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge, marking a reunion with Chelsea's new manager Enzo Maresca, under whom he played last season.
Despite losing a key player, Leicester can find solace in the financial benefit of this transfer, aiding their compliance with the Premier League's profitability and sustainability regulations.
The entirety of the fee represents profit for Leicester, as Dewsbury-Hall progressed through the ranks of the Midlands club.
During his tenure at Leicester, Dewsbury-Hall amassed 120 appearances and netted 17 goals, 12 of which came in the recent season as Leicester secured promotion to the Premier League.
